Chicago Education Advocacy Cooperative
serves the needs of Chicago students and families con cariño
At ChiEAC, we serve Chicago students and families through our Revolutionary Student Sponsorship program designed to support racialized and minoritized students in Chicago with cultural relevancy to provide practical pathways to upward social mobility through education.
“It was all a dream…”
Chicago Education Advocacy Cooperative (ChiEAC) was founded in January 2020 with the vision of providing practical pathways to upward social mobility for racialized and minoritized populations in college.
We have since expanded to include K-12 and Adult Education serving over 1,600 students…and counting.
What you can expect from us…
Dr. Benjamin Drury, our Executive Director, works around the clock to serve the needs of our students and their families. He is driven by the knowledge that students who are uncomfortable are unable to learn.
Our Revolutionary Student Sponsorship program might manifest in the form of an air conditioner, groceries, Uber rides, and chips…education in Chicago is powered by chips and other snacks because the school lunches that some students receive on the South and West Side are delivered in garbage bags.
We provide longitudinal holistic supports until our students have completed their educational journey…wherever that might end for them.
We never push our students into higher education, because that is not the only pathway to a fulfilling life in the United States for them and their family.
We talk with our students and learn from them and eat with them and cry with them and through this shared rapport, we achieve something truly meaningful and transformational in their life.
Your support can make a real difference. At ChiEAC, every dollar you donate goes directly to the families and students we serve. From essentials like food and rent to technology and transportation, your contributions helps us change lives.
We also rely on volunteers to helps us provide these vital services. Whether you have time to mentor or assist at events, your involvement helps us empower students to achieve their goals. Join us in fostering educational equity and opportunity for all today.
